Today we lift fathers everywhere to you, O Heavenly Father. We ask that You would strengthen them to be the fathers that you have chosen and assigned them to be. Please:
- Strengthen them to continue to walk in integrity so they can lead.
- Grant them wisdom to instruct their children and grandchildren aright. (Ephesians 6:4)
- Bless their hands to prosper so that they can continue to provide for the needs AND wants of their wives and children. (Matthew 7:11)
- Bless their hands to prosper that they may be able to leave an inheritance for their children’s children. (Proverbs 13:22)
- Grant them the courage to discipline and correct their children so that they can leave a legacy of righteousness and holiness, for generations to come. (Hebrews 12: 5-11)
- Finally, may Your love be shed abroad in their hearts so that they can continue to love their children, even while they hurt. (Luke 15: 12, 20)
O Heavenly Father, thank you for all the fathers that are striving to be good fathers. May Your hand mold and hold them until they cross into the next life, in the name of Your Son, the Christ, AMEN!
