NOTES:

WHO ARE YOU? – John 1:1-8; Luke 1:57-66; John 1:19-23

  1. There is no doubt that we are living in the last days: approaching the time of Jesus’ coming and the end of this world (Matthew 24:3)
  2. Jesus warned us to “take heed that no man deceive us” (Matthew 24:4).
  3. To cause to be led astray or to go astray
  4. To lead away from or be severed from the truth.
  5. To be led into error.
  6. There is a deception that Satan, the subtle beast of the field uses against us the children of God: causing us to question what God said to us and what He said about us. (Genesis 3:1-6)
  7. It is our knowledge of and continuing in truth, not just truth, that will make us free liberate us. (John 8:31-32)
  8. There are many things that we can study or make as the focus of our Bible Study; so many happenings in the world right now: the vaccination, impending wars, scarcity, etc. But what we need to ensure our spiritual growth and keep us grounded in these perilous times is a knowledge of who we are in Christ and why we are here. That knowledge will focus us and be our anchor. Although everything around us is changing, we will remain immovable. (Matthew 7:24-27)

WHERE ARE YOU? WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU WERE NAKED? (Genesis 3:9-11a cf. Luke 1:57-66)
