Maintaining Focus

DAY 5

Romans 12: 1-2
•Living in this world, we will receive sensory stimuli every moment of every day. These stimuli are used to form our perceptions – how we understand and interpret things. Our perceptions will then determine our perspective – our point of view, our attitude towards things.
•We cannot stop ourselves from receiving stimuli and the formation of perceptions, but we can filter our perceptions through the word of God.

Romans 7:25 •Whatever has our focus or attention becomes our filter. Remember we serve God with our minds.

Romans 6:14 • Whatever has the attention of our minds has our service.
